Анотація

У роботі розглянуто найбільш популярні у світовій практиці використання індекси з композитними змінними для визначення соціального статусу респондентів – індекс статусної характеристики Уорнера (ISC), соціоекономічна статусна оцінка (SES) та індекс соціальної позиції Холлінгсхіда (ISP). Індекси є порівнюваними, але не еквівалентними. Аналіз набору показників кожного індексу, способу їх отримання та розрахунку підтверджує вищу надійність ISP й ISC, аніж SES.
